Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has urged youths in the state to sustain grassroots mobilisation under the Arewa for Asiwaju (A4A) movement in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections.
According to the statement by the Director General Media and Publicity Government House Kano, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the call followed the inauguration of 528 Tinubu ambassadors on Wednesday at Sani Abacha Stadium, Kano, as part of efforts to strengthen the movement’s grassroots structures and expand its door-to-door campaign across the state.
The ambassadors are expected to engage residents in their communities, mobilise youths and women, and raise awareness about the movement’s objectives ahead of the forthcoming elections.
Governor Yusuf urged them to remain committed to their responsibilities, maintain regular contact with the grassroots, and promote peaceful political participation. He also stressed the importance of protecting voters’ choices through lawful means during the electoral process.
The Governor reaffirmed his assurance of support for President Tinubu’s re-election bid, urging the ambassadors to sustain their mobilisation efforts and strengthen engagement with communities across Kano State.
Following the inauguration, the National Director-General of A4A, Alhaji Badaru Abubakar, led a delegation to the Government House, Kano, where Governor Yusuf received them during a courtesy visit.
During the visit, the Kano State Coordinator of A4A, Abdullahi Tijjani Muhammad Gwarzo, briefed the Governor on the movement’s mobilisation plans and strategies for expanding its presence across the state.
Gwarzo assured the Governor that the Kano chapter would work to strengthen its grassroots structures, coordinate activities across local government areas, and sustain engagement with supporters ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The inauguration of the 528 ambassadors marks another organisational activity by A4A aimed at building community-level networks and coordinating its mobilisation efforts in Kano State.
