Hon. Abubakar Donates Cash to APC Leaders, Supporters in Dala for Ramadan

Hon. Abubakar Aminu Ibrahim, the Senior Legislative Aide (SLA) to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajuddeen Abbas, has donated cash to APC leaders and supporters in Dala Local Government to support them during Ramadan.  

The event, held on Thursday in Dala, aimed to appreciate party members for their dedication and efforts.

Speaking at the gathering, Abubakar emphasized the importance of party leaders, describing them as the backbone of any political organization.

“These are the people who struggle for the victory of any political party. That is why it is necessary to go back and support them,” he stated.

As part of the initiative, the Committee of Elders of APC in Dala Local Government received ₦1 million, the APC chairman received ₦100,000, and the party’s secretary got ₦30,000. Additionally, 25 APC executives were given ₦20,000 each, while women leaders, persons with disabilities, and 300 ward leaders received ₦10,000 each, among others.

Abubakar assured that this initiative was just the beginning, promising continued support.

“Less than two months ago, I paid JAMB registration fees for 350 students in Dala. I will also sponsor candidates for WAEC and NECO, and those who perform well in JAMB will be sponsored to universities of their choice,” he added.

The Kano APC chairman, Abdullahi Abbas, represented by the party’s PRO, Ahmad S. Aruwa, commended Abubakar’s generosity and urged other politicians to emulate him.

“If we had three people like Abubakar, Kano would not be the same,” he said.

He also criticized the ruling NNPP, claiming they had not provided similar support to the people of Kano.

APC Kano Women Leader, Hajiya Fatima Abdullahi, praised Abubakar for prioritizing women in his support.

“Sixty percent of the beneficiaries are women. Women play a key role in elections. Whoever they support will win, by the grace of God,” she stated.

She emphasized that women are the foundation of political success, as they are actively involved in mobilization and grassroots campaigns. She highlighted their role in attending rallies, canvassing support door-to-door, and ensuring their families remain loyal to the party.

She further praised Abubakar for recognizing the contributions of women, noting that his generosity would ease their burden, especially during Ramadan.

“This support will help women provide for their families, buy food, and take care of their children. When you empower women, you empower entire households. That is why I am particularly happy that women received the majority of this support,” she added.

She called on other politicians to follow Abubakar’s example by prioritizing women, stressing that those who support women will always earn their loyalty in return.

Ibrahim Hamza Ibrahim, APC leader of Bakin Ruwa Ward, described Abubakar’s efforts as true party loyalty.

“This is what being in a political party is all about. Political appointees should come back and help the people,” he said.

Alin Ummi, APC leader of Madigawa Ward, noted that everyone in attendance had felt the impact of Abubakar’s support.

“He has given us a lot of money, and we are thankful to God for witnessing this day. We will use this to break our fast and support our families,” he said.

Among the dignitaries in attendance were the Executive Financial Director of Hadejia-Jama’are River Basin Development Authority, Musa Iliasu Kwankwaso, Hon. Yusuf Aliyu Tumfafi and renowned Kano businessman, Alhaji Liti Kulkul.

Gwamnan jihar Kano, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, ya bayyana rashin jin dadinsa kan shirin ciyarwa na watan Ramadan da ake yi a cikin babban birnin Kano.

Hakan na kunshe ne cikin wata sanarwa da mai magana da yawun gwamnan, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa ya fitar a ranar Juma’a.

Gwamnan ya ce ya ji takaicin shirin a lokacin da ya kai ziyarar bazata daya daga cikin cibiyoyin ciyar da abinci da ke Gidan Maza, karamar hukumar Municipal.

Gwamna Yusuf ya kuma nuna rashin jin dadinsa da yadda masu gudanar da shirin ke gudanar da ayyukansu, wadanda ya ke ganin suna hana wadanda suka ci gajiyar shirin.

“Ba za mu amince da rashin gaskiya da almubazzaranci da dukiyar al’umma ba, ya zama wajibi a lura da cewa kudaden da aka ware don wannan shiri an tsara su sosai a kowace cibiya” Gwamnan ya yi gargadin.

Gwamnan ya gudanar da ziyarar ne biyo bayan rahotannin sirri da ke nuna nakasu wajen gudanar da shirin ciyarwa a cibiyoyi daban-daban na babban birnin.

Dangote feeds 10,000 people in Kano daily for Ramadan, distributes 1 million bags of rice nationwide

Africa's richest man, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, through Aliko Dangote Foundation, has launched the distribution of free meals to no fewer than 10,000 fasting Muslims in Kano state, his state of origin.

In a statement signed by Samira Sanusi, an official of the foundation in Kano, the gesture was also extended by distributing one million bags of rice, worth over N13 billion across the 36 states of the federation and Abuja to alleviate hunger in the country.

The gesture, according to her is to ease hardship for millions of Nigerians amidst economic challenges in the country.

This is in addition to the distribution of 20,000 loaves of bread daily to Kano residents and 15,000 daily to Lagos residents, a feeding gesture that started and sustained since 2020 during the COVID.

Mrs Sanusi explained  that the Ramadan free cooked meal includes jollof rice, white rice and stew, jollof spaghetti, yam, beans with chicken and beef, packed with a bottle of water and drink for each person

She said the packed meals are distributed at Juma'at mosques, streets, prisons, orphanages, remand home, and other places in Kano city and its environs.

A beneficiary of the meal, Musa Maikatako, resident of Tarauni, expressed appreciation for the gesture, which he said had helped him break his fast with ease.

Maikatako, who was visibly happy, said the free meal would ameliorate the suffering of a lot of people who might break their fasts with only water, without food to it, considering the economic hardship faced by Nigerians.

"I can not explain how happy i am. This meal will go a long way in assisting poor people like me to have something to at least break our fast with some solid food to eat.

"I know a lot of people in this state who could break their fast with water only. So this meal is a great relief," he said.

While expressing happiness, Maikatako showed appreciation to Dangote Foundation for the gesture, praying to God to increase his wealth and continue to bless his business.

Another beneficiary, Hajiya Inna Tukur, expressed delight for distribution of the meal, which, according to her, Aliko Dangote Foundation, has come to her aid.

According to Inna, she was elated to have been given such delicious food for free in the current hardship.

"In this hardship, when we find it difficult to eat even two times a day, but out of the blue moon, somebody presented this delicious food to me, it is highly incredible.

"I have nothing to say but to say a big thank you to you and Aliko Dangote. I pray to God to bless you more and more,"

Apart from the 4-year old free bread distribution, according to Mrs Sanusi, feeding of the needy in Kano has been quietly going on for over 30 years by Aliko Dangote. 

This, according to her,  had been done from his mother's residence in Koki and from various cooking locations. 

"This feeding program feeds 10,000 kano residents daily with breakfast, lunch, and dinner, a unique feat that has been in existence for over 30 years," she said.

Ramadan: Gwamna Yusuf ya bada tallafin kayan abinci ga ma'aikatan gidan gwamnati

Gwamnan jihar Kano, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf ya bayar da tallafin kayan abinci na miliyoyin Naira ga ma’aikatan gidan gwamnatin da ke aiki tare a wani bangare na mika musu na watan Ramadan.

Hakan na kunshe ne cikin wata sanarwa da mai magana da yawun gwamnan, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa ya fitar a ranar Lahadi.

Sanarwar ta ce nau'ikan kayan da aka rabawa  masu matakin albashi na 1 zuwa na 12 sun hada da buhun shinkafa mai nauyin kilogiram 50, da katon macaroni, laka na gero guda goma, da kuma kudi N10,000 kowanne.

Da yake gabatar da kayayyakin cikin yanayi na musamman, gwamnan ya bayyana godiyarsa ga Allah da ya ba shi damar yin hakan da nufin ganin an samu nasara ga ma’aikatan sa a cikin watan Ramadan mai albarka.

“Yau rana ce ta musamman ba a gare ni kadai ba har ma’aikata na a gidan gwamnati domin na fara cika alkawuran yakin neman zabe na na inganta ayyukan jin dadi ga ma’aikatan gwamnati.” Ya bayyana.

Gwamnan ya ci gaba da bayyana cewa za a ci gaba da gudanar da wasu ayyuka na alheri ga ma’aikatan musamman idan suka tsaya tsayin daka a kan su na daidaiku da na gamayya.

"Dangantaka da ku ba ta siyasa ba ce don haka za ku iya yin riko da ra'ayoyinku daban-daban, amma abin da nake bukata daga gare ku shi ne sadaukarwa, aiki tukuru, da addu'a domin mu cimma abin da muke a nan."

Daga nan sai ya yi kira gare su da su yi amfani da watan Ramadan ta hanyar yawaita ayyukan ibada tare da yin addu’a ga gwamnati da kasa baki daya Allah ya kawo mana dauki, musamman a wannan lokaci mai wahala.

Tun da farko mataimakin gwamnan jihar, Kwamared Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo ya yabawa gwamnan bisa wannan karimcin da ya nuna, inda ya bayyana hakan a matsayin irinsa da aka taba samu a jihar.

Kwamared Abdussalam ya yi kira ga wadanda suka ci gajiyar shirin da su maida hankali wajen sadaukar da ayyukansu, rikon amana, da addu’a ga gwamnatin Gwamna Abba Kabir Yusuf.

A jawabansu na bai daya, wadanda suka ci gajiyar tallafin sun bayyana Gwamnan a matsayin masu hulda da wayar tarho, inda suka yi ikirari da cewa wannan matakin na daya daga cikin irinsa kuma zai taimaka matuka wajen rage musu wahalhalun da suke fuskanta.
