Governor Yusuf: Effective publicity of Tinubu’s achievements will win Northerners’ support for 2027

Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has said adequate publicity and public enlightenment on the programmes and achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration will convince Nigerians, particularly Northerners, to support and campaign for the President’s re-election in 2027.

This was contained in a statement issued by the governor’s spokesman, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, on Thursday.

Governor Yusuf stated this on Thursday when members of Triple R Kannyhood paid a solidarity visit to the Government House, Kano.

He said the emergence of Triple R Kannyhood would strengthen publicity and public enlightenment on the policies, programmes and achievements of the Tinubu administration across the country.

According to him, effective grassroots mobilisation and communication would enable citizens to better understand the efforts of the Federal Government and its impact on their lives.

The governor described President Tinubu as a patriotic Nigerian committed to infrastructural development and improving the living conditions of citizens.

Governor Yusuf commended the leadership of Triple R Kannyhood for its support for the All Progressives Congress (APC), saying their experience and grassroots mobilisation would contribute significantly to the party’s electoral success.

He expressed confidence that APC candidates contesting the presidential, National Assembly, governorship and state assembly elections would emerge victorious in the 2027 general elections.

The governor assured members of the group that their requests and concerns would receive due consideration, both before and after the 2027 elections.

Earlier, the leader of Triple R Kannyhood, Dauda Adamu Kahutu Rarara, said the two organisations had resolved to unite with the objective of supporting the APC and mobilising for its victory in the 2027 general elections.

Rarara said the organisation had thousands of members and a large following across various social media platforms, adding that its members were ready to voluntarily mobilise support for the APC at all levels.

He said their post-election requests included provision of start-up capital for members, allocation of plots of land for housing and provision of a secretariat for the organisation in Kano.

Rarara thanked Governor Yusuf and his associates for the warm reception accorded the group.

Other speakers at the visit included the Kano Chairman of Triple R Kannyhood, Alhaji Ado Gidan Dabinu; Lawan Ahmad; and the organisation’s Women Leader, Hadiza Sema.

They all assured the governor of their support and commitment to mobilising for the success of the APC across the country.

Gov. Yusuf, Others Eulogize Sheikh Jingir as JIBWIS Endorses Tinubu/Shettima for 2027

Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, alongside his counterparts from Yobe, Sokoto and Jigawa States, has commended the National Chairman of the Council of Ulama of Jama’atul Izalatul Bid’a Wa Iqamatussunnah (JIBWIS), Sheikh Sani Yahaya Jingir, for his sustained efforts toward promoting unity, peaceful coexistence and understanding among Muslims and Nigerians.

This was contained in a statement issued by the governor’s spokesman, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, on Sunday.

The governors made the commendation at a one-day National Symposium on “Enhanced Political Participation and Support for Social Justice as a Panacea for Unity and Development in Nigeria,” held at the Saddiqa Event Centre in Jos, Plateau State.

The symposium also witnessed a major political development, with JIBWIS calling on its members across the country to support and vote for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima in the 2027 presidential election.

Speaking at the event, the National Chairman-Administration of JIBWIS, Sheikh Abdulnasir Abdulmuhuyi, expressed a vote of confidence in the Tinubu-Shettima administration, saying the Federal Government had demonstrated trustworthiness and commitment to the development of Nigeria during its first three years in office.

Sheikh Abdulmuhuyi said the administration deserved the support of Nigerians for a second term to consolidate its achievements and continue its development agenda.

In his address, the National Chairman of the JIBWIS Council of Ulama, Sheikh Muhammad Sani Yahaya Jingir, urged members of the organisation across the country to renew their support for President Tinubu and Vice President Shettima ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

Speaking on behalf of the governors of Kano, Sokoto, Jigawa and Yobe States, Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, recalled Nigeria’s political history, particularly the 1993 presidential election in which Chief MKO Abiola contested with a Muslim running mate, Ambassador Babagana Kingibe.

Governor Buni commended Sheikh Jingir for his tenacity and commitment to promoting national unity through his preaching, describing his efforts as important to fostering peaceful coexistence among Nigerians.

In a goodwill message, the Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau I. Jibrin, declared that Nigerians could not afford to lose the Tinubu-Shettima administration in 2027.

Senator Barau also commended Sheikh Jingir for his tireless efforts toward promoting unity and peaceful coexistence across the country.

Meanwhile, Hon. Ibrahim Kabir Masari and Governor Mai Mala Buni each donated ₦300 million towards the establishment of Fortune University, founded by Sheikh Sani Yahaya Jingir.

The symposium brought together prominent Islamic scholars, political leaders, government officials and JIBWIS members from across the country to deliberate on political participation, social justice, national unity and sustainable development in Nigeria.

Gov. Yusuf Nominates Garo as Running Mate for 2027 Re-election Bid

Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has officially announced the nomination of his deputy, His Excellency Murtala Sule Galadima Garo, as his running mate for the 2027 governorship election.

This was contained in a statement issued by the Governor’s spokesman, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, on Monday.

Governor Yusuf made the announcement during a strategic meeting with Federal Political Appointees of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu held at the Kano Governor’s Lodge in Abuja.

The Governor said the decision followed Garo’s outstanding loyalty, commitment, and unwavering passion for the development of Kano State since assuming office as Deputy Governor.

He expressed satisfaction with the working relationship between them, noting that Garo had demonstrated competence, dedication, and a strong sense of responsibility in the discharge of his duties.

“I have no regrets for choosing Garo as my Deputy in the last few months, and he has proven to be the right choice so far. I want to confirm to you that I have every confidence in him,” Governor Yusuf declared.

The Governor also passed a vote of confidence on the Deputy Governor, describing him as a dependable partner whose contributions have strengthened the administration’s drive to deliver meaningful development across Kano State.

Governor Yusuf urged party leaders, political appointees, and supporters to remain united and committed as the administration continues to consolidate on its achievements while preparing for the 2027 general elections.

APC Clears Gov. Yusuf for Second Term Bid in Kano ahead of 2027

The All Progressives Congress has cleared Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, to contest for a second term in office in the 2027 governorship election.

This was contained in a statement signed by the governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, on Friday.
The clearance followed the successful screening of Governor Yusuf by the National Working Committee of the APC after submitting his nomination and screening forms.

The National Chairman of the party Prof. Nantawe Yilwadda whol led the screening committee at Plateau Governor's l9dge, said party confirmed that Governor Yusuf satisfied all requirements to contest for second term.
Following the screening exercise, he was declared, so far as the sole contender for the APC governorship ticket in Kano State ahead of the 2027 election.

Speaking governor Yusuf expressed appreciation to the leadership of the party for the confidence reposed in him.

He reaffirmed his commitment to delivering more dividends of democracy and sustaining policies that promote peace, economic growth and inclusive development across Kano State.

The governor also called on party members and supporters to remain united and continue working together for the progress of the state and victory in 2027.
