Kano State Government has approved Friday 26th and Saturday 27th July 2024 as the date for the commencement of 3rd term vacation to all Day and Boarding Public/Private Primary and Post Primary Schools in the state. Therefore, Parents/ Guardians of Pupils and Students in the Boarding schools are to convey their wards home by the early hours of Saturday 27th July 2024.   A statement issued by the Director Public Enlightenment of the State Ministry of Education Balarabe Abdullahi Kiru announced that Boarding Schools Pupils and Students are to resume back to their respective Schools on Sunday 8th September 2024 while Day Students are to resume on Monday 9th September, 2024. Kano State Government has directed all Primary and Post Primary Schools in the state to proceed for the Edil-Kabir Break from Friday, 14th June, 2024 to Monday 24th June, 2024 for day students, and for boarding students from Friday 14th June, 2024 to Sunday 23rd June, 2024 respectively. A statement signed by the Director Public Enlightenment Ministry of Education Balarabe Abdullahi Kiru announced that parents and guardians of students in boarding schools are therefore requested to pick up their wards by the early hours of Friday, 14th June, 2024. It further explained that all other aspects of the 2023/2024 school academic calendar which include the stipulated public holidays remained valid.
