Kano Ministry of Education Collaborates With Schools Old Boys To Improve Education Sector

Kano State Ministry of Education has indicated its readiness to work with Alumni of Old Boys Associations across the state to improve the standard of education. Im a statement signed by the Director Public Enlightenment of the Ministry, Balarabe Abdullahi Kiru, said the State Commissioner Ministry of Education Alhaji Umar Haruna Doguwa gave the assurance today Thursday when he received executive members of Rumfa old boys association, class '94 who paid him a courtesy visit in his office. Represented by the Permanent Secretary of the Miinistry Hajiya Kubra Imam, the Commissioner Maintained that for education to progress, there is need for collective efforts between government, individuals and other non-governmental organizations that could work together to address challenges surrounding the sector. 2024/2025 Academic Session:Kano Shifts Schools Resumption Date To 17th Sept, 2024

Kano State Government has shifted resumption date for all day public/private primary and post-primary schools in the state to Tuesday 17th September, 2024. While pupils and students in boarding schools across the state will resume on Monday 16th September, 2024.  A statement signed by the Director Public Enlightenment of the State Ministry of Education, Balarabe Abdullahi Kiru quoted the state Commissioner of Education Alhaji Umar Haruna Doguwa explaining that the adjustment follows declaration of 16th Sept, 2024 as public holiday to celebrate Eid-el Maulud. " The adjustment is therefore to allow students to celebrate this holy date which marks the birth of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAW). 2024/2025 Academic Session:Kano Announces New Resumption Date For Primary and Post Primary Schools

The Kano State Government has approved Sunday, September 15th, 2024, as the new resumption date for all boarding public/private primary and post-primary schools in the state for the start of the 2024/2025 first term academic session. Pupils and students in day schools across the state will resume on Monday, September 16th, 2024.  It should be noted that the state Commissioner of Education, Alhaji Umar Haruna Doguwa, announced on Saturday, September 7th, the postponement of the school resumption date. A statement signed by the Director Public Enlightenment of the State Ministry of Education, Balarabe Abdullahi Kiru, urges parents/guardians of students to take note of the new resumption date to ensure complete compliance.  It also advised students to avoid bringing any illegal items to school, such as knives or razors, and to obey the law. 2024/2025 Academic Session: Kano postpones Schools Resumption Date

Kano State Government has postponed resumption date of both Primary and Post Primary Schools for the commencement of 2024/2025 academic session. A statement signed by the Director Public Enlightenment of the Ministry Balarabe Abdullahi Kiru quoted the Commissioner of Education Alhaji Umar Haruna Doguwa explaining that the decision to postpone the resumption date is compelled by some urgent reasons. Umar Doguwa disclosed that another day for the schools resumption would soon be announced by the ministry. " I wish to inform pupils, students and parents that the announcement earlier made for schools resumption on 8th and 9th Sept, 2024 is now being postponed due to some urgent reasons that would help in improving conducive learning atmosphere for our children. .Kano Commissioner of Internal Security Welcomes Permanent Secretary and Pioneer Staff

  The State Commissioner of Internal Security and Special Services, Major General Muhammad Inuwa Idris rtd has welcomed the re-deployed Permanent Secretary to the ministry, Alhaji DanAsabe Yahaya, directors and other supporting staff who were also posted as pioneer staff of the ministry. In a statement signed by the Director Public Enlightenment of the Ministry, Murtala Shehu Umar, said the commissioner who was full of joy and happiness when he met his staff for the first time, described them as backbone of meaningful development and partners in progress.
