Kano Govt, PLANE Organise 3-Day Workshop On Education Sector Performance Review

Kano State Government in collaboration with Partnership For Learning For All in Nigeria (PLANE) have organised a 3-day Workshop on Education Sector Performance Review (SPR) for the year 2023. In a statement signed by the Director Public Enlightenment of the Ministry of Education, Balarabe Abdullahi Kiru, said the he workshop was aimed at defining the policy position of the education sector and translating the policy in to realistic and costed programme and projects within medium-term sector strategic. Addressing the participants of the workshop today Sunday at FABS Hotel, Zaria, the State Commissioner of education Alhaji Umar Haruna Doguwa explained that the workshop was part of the present administration effort to align all activities under the education sector with new government policies and implementation strategies to achieve better performance. Kano Education Ministry Refutes Claims About Credential Submission for Teacher Recruitment

The Kano State Ministry of Education has debunked rumours calling those who have NCE Certificate to submit their credentials to State Library Board for new teachers recruitment. This was contained in a statement signed by the Director Public Enlightenment of the Ministry Balarabe Abdullahi Kiru and made available to the newsmen today Wednesday, 26th June, 2024. The statement described the audio clip that is going viral in which unadentified persons and voice of a lady calling people with NCE certificate to submit their credentials to Kano State Library Board for teachers recruitment as untrue and misleading information. Kano Government Collaborates With PLANE To Revitalize Education Sector

Kano State Government has reiterated it's total commitment to work closely with Partnership For Leaning For All in Nigeria (PLANE) to revitalize the the state education sector. In a statement signed by the Director Public Enlightenment of the Ministry, Balarabe Abdullahi Kiru, said the State Commissioner of Education Alhaji Umar Haruna Doguwa gave the assurance today Tuesday while receiving a team from the PLANE (FCDO) head office, Abuja that paid him a courtesy visit in his office. Umar Doguwa explained that so far, Kano benefited a lot from the intervention projects of PLANE which according to him, yielded positive impacts to the present administration commitment in ensuring quality education in the state. The Commissioner said it is obvious the present administration had inherited the state education sector in a stage of total dilapidation and decay of schools infrastructures and lack of instructional materials resulting to non conducive learning environment. Kano Govt. Sponsors 119,903 Students For 2024 NECO and NBAIS Examination

Kano State Government will sponsor 119,903 students who sat for the 2024 Qualifying Examination across the 44 Local Government Areas of the state to write the forth coming National Examination Council (NECO) and National Board For Arabic and Islamic Studies (NBAIS) examination. This was made known today Thursday by the state Commissioner of Education Alhaji Umar Haruna Doguwa while addressing Newsmen in his office. In a statement signed by the Director Public Enlightenment of the Ministry, Balarabe Abdullahi Kiru, said Umar Haruna disclosed that earlier, a proposal was made to Kano State Governor Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf on 8 credits (including mathematics and English) bench mark for a student to pass the qualifying examination which was later rejected by the Governor and opted to pay for any student that pass 4 credits in any course.
