Rep Committee Chairman Calls for Sensitization Workshop for Muslim Lawmakers
Abuja – The Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Traditional Institutions, Hon. Ari Muhammad Abdulmumin, has called on the Chairman of the National Ulama Council of Jama’atu Izalatul Bidi’a Wa Ikamatussunnah (JIBWIS) to organize a sensitization workshop for all Muslim members of the National Assembly. Hon. Abdulmumin made the appeal at the JIBWIS Annual National Convention and the launch of the N1.5 billion Educational Development Appeal Fund, held at the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Conference Center in Abuja. He emphasized that as representatives of their various constituencies, lawmakers are not superior to other members of society but are only privileged by the opportunity given to them by Almighty Allah.
