FRCN @ 75: Tinubu Committed to Modernising Public Media, Says Information Minister
The Honourable Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, has said that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu remains committed to modernising public media and ensuring that no Nigerian is left uninformed, as the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) marks its 75th anniversary. Speaking on Wednesday at the logo unveiling ceremony held at Radio House, Abuja, to kick off activities commemorating the 75th Anniversary of the FRCN, the Minister highlighted ongoing reforms, noting that the Tinubu administration is investing in infrastructure to strengthen public broadcasting.
“With new 50-kilowatt medium-wave transmitters in Kaduna, Ibadan, Enugu, and Gwagwalada, FRCN will soon extend its leadership voice in Nigeria’s vast radio landscape. This is a clear demonstration of this administration’s commitment to modernising public media,” he stated.
