Hundreds of former Kano State House of Assembly members, under the aegis of the Kano Ex-legislators Forum, have commended the Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau I. Jibrin , describing him as an outstanding lawmaker. The Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau Jibrin, has commended President Bola Tinubu for signing the North West Development Commission Bill into law, which he sponsored.  Addressing Senate Correspondents, the Deputy President of the Senate said the commission, when established, would help to drive development across the seven states in the zone - Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Jigawa Sokoto and Zamfara States. He said: " President Bola Tinubu today signed into law the North West Development Commission Bill sponsored by me.  " The Commission will assist in developing geopolitical zones in terms of required infrastructure, production of food, etc.  " It would be recalled that Boko Haram, kidnappers and bandits ravaged the zone like the North East with attendant drop in development indices.
