APC Clears Gov. Yusuf for Second Term Bid in Kano ahead of 2027

The All Progressives Congress has cleared Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, to contest for a second term in office in the 2027 governorship election. This was contained in a statement signed by the governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, on Friday. The clearance followed the successful screening of Governor Yusuf by the National Working Committee of the APC after submitting his nomination and screening forms. The National Chairman of the party Prof. Nantawe Yilwadda whol led the screening committee at Plateau Governor's l9dge, said party confirmed that Governor Yusuf satisfied all requirements to contest for second term. Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has formally submitted his nomination form to the National Working Committee of the APC in Abuja as the sole candidate for Kano State in the 2027 governorship election.
