Governor Yusuf extends Service period to Kano HOS, Others
PRESS RELEASE 31st December 2024 Kano state Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf has extended the service period of Head of Civil Service, some Permanent Secretaries and Senior Civil Servants to the period of 2 years with effect from 31st December 2024. This was contained in an Executive Order signed by the Governor in accordance with the Doctrine of necessity. The decision of the governor is backed by the provision therein in section 5 (2) and 208 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 (as amended). Those to enjoy the 2 years extension are Alhaji Abdullahi Musa as the Head of Civil Service, Umar Muhammad Jalo, Bilkisu Shehu Maimota , Mu'azatu Isa Dutse, Abdulmuminu Musa, and Tijjani Muhammad Sharif as Permanent Secretaries while Bashir Idris Diso as the Clerk to the state House of Assembly.
