Kano Probes Empowerment Fraud Amidst Allegations Of Official Complicity
The Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission on Sunday said it has commenced investigations on alleged scam that rocked the empowerment of street Hawkers by the Kano state governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf last week. The probe comes on the heels of a viral video exposing the fraudulent activities of rogue officials, who allegedly coerced beneficiaries into surrendering a significant portion of the N50,000 grants received during a recent ceremony.
