Governor Yusuf conveyed his condolences during a condolence visit to the family of the deceased in Gaya, where he commiserated with the bereaved family, relatives and associates over the loss.

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf described the late Alhaji Mustapha Mahmud as a dedicated former civil servant who served the Kano State Government with high sense of decorum and commitment before his retirement.
He said the deceased’s years of service to the state represented a valuable contribution to the development of Kano and expressed sympathy to his family over the loss of their father, husband and loved one.
Governor Yusuf urged the bereaved family to take solace in the fact that death is an inevitable part of human existence, while praying Almighty Allah to forgive the shortcomings of the deceased and grant him Aljannatul Firdaus.
He also prayed Allah to grant the seven children left behind by the deceased and other members of the family the strength, patience and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
