Students of Maryam Idris Umar College of Education Visit Kano Hajj Demonstration Site
Muslims faithful have been advised to acquire practical knowledge on how to perform Hajj in order to get rewards from God Almighty.
A team leader on practical Hajj in Nassarawa local government area, Malam Yau Garba Sulaiman, stated this while briefing the students of the Arabic department of Maryam Idris Umar College of Education, Kano, on excursion visit to the Kano Hajj Demonstration site.
Malam Sulaiman explained that seeking knowledge of every aspects of Islam before practicing them, especially the performance of Hajj and other related Ibadat, is very significant for the Muslims ummah.
A statement signed by the college's head of Media and Public Relations, Ado Salisu, described the visit as excellent and well suited to the education needs of the students.
The Nassarawa team leader added that the intending pilgrims who usually practice on various aspects of Hajj at the Hajj camp Kano, have been finding it easier to perform the rites and rituals of Hajj while in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
He commended the state government for providing the demonstration facilities to its intending pilgrims, urging the students to utilize what they have learnt especially in educating their brothers and sisters for the development of Islam.
In his remarks, the students team leader, Malam Karibu Bani, said the essence of the visit was to enable the students to practically rehearse how intending pilgrims would perform one of the five pillars of Islam.
Also speaking, the deputy Provost of the College, BIlkisu Abdullahi Turaki, who said the visit was part of the students academic activities, charged them to utilize what they learnt in order to improve their education.
Some students who spoke at the occasion expressed their appreciate to the college authority for its commitment and dedication in moving the school to greater heights.
