Kano State Government has shifted resumption date for all day public/private primary and post-primary schools in the state to Tuesday 17th September, 2024. While pupils and students in boarding schools across the state will resume on Monday 16th September, 2024.  A statement signed by the Director Public Enlightenment of the State Ministry of Education, Balarabe Abdullahi Kiru quoted the state Commissioner of Education Alhaji Umar Haruna Doguwa explaining that the adjustment follows declaration of 16th Sept, 2024 as public holiday to celebrate Eid-el Maulud. The Kano State Government has approved Sunday, September 15th, 2024, as the new resumption date for all boarding public/private primary and post-primary schools in the state for the start of the 2024/2025 first term academic session. Pupils and students in day schools across the state will resume on Monday, September 16th, 2024.  It should be noted that the state Commissioner of Education, Alhaji Umar Haruna Doguwa, announced on Saturday, September 7th, the postponement of the school resumption date. Kano State Government has postponed resumption date of both Primary and Post Primary Schools for the commencement of 2024/2025 academic session. A statement signed by the Director Public Enlightenment of the Ministry Balarabe Abdullahi Kiru quoted the Commissioner of Education Alhaji Umar Haruna Doguwa explaining that the decision to postpone the resumption date is compelled by some urgent reasons. Umar Doguwa disclosed that another day for the schools resumption would soon be announced by the ministry.
